MoreThanSMS allows you to mix messages and phone app into the messages app ! when you install it a phone icon will appear in the navigation bar in the middle next to the compose button inside the SMS app, when you press that button a box will appear with a number pad you can type a number and press call to call the number ASAP.

Configure options from Settings.

Added a preference pane
added option to call by typing the contacts first name , my tweak is smart enough to search your contact list and fetch the contact's number to call him ;)
beware this is case sensitive type the contact's first name just like you saved it !
