Compatible with iOS 7 and 8
News feed tab on the Facebook app will default to Most Recent instead of Top Stories.
But if you really want to go to Top Stories(don't know why) just tap on More tab and choose Top Stories. Check screenshots.
If you missed Most Recent stories when you opened the Facebook app then you might find this helpful.
