The big circle is a button. Tapping it taps the portion of small circles with the same color as the big button.

In other words, even if you don't bring your finger to the top and tap, pushing the big button at the bottom of the screen will result in a pseudo-tap on the portion of small circles at the top of the screen.

Tweaks demonstrates its effect on devices with big screens such as the iPhone 6s Plus.

You can modify the color, transparency, boundary color, and size of the tapping region for both the big and small circles.
