SBManager is a great tool for easily doing various SpringBoard functions like Reload Applications, Respring, Restart SpringBoard, executing commands, notify_post, and launching applications. SBManager also has a sections to view information returned from the UIDevice class and DeviceSwitch to transform your device (to the furthest extent) to any other device that is compatible. This application was made carefully and should support any firmware or device.
