Install a "carrier update", or profile, to enable tethering. This is free, no charge. After you find your carrier, Install it, and then reboot your iPhone!! This is a HACK, that enables Tethering just like they explained in WWDC 09! Confirmed working on 3.0, and 3.0.1. Good Luck and Happy Tethering!
